The H&H Bearcat girls and boys basketball teams traveled to play against Nebraska Christian on Tuesday. The girls lost 61-24, but the boys won 72-57.
The girls struggled from the outset to score, but midway through the first quarter, Hallie Tessman stole the ball and went the length of the court to score the Bearcats’ first points of the game. The Bearcats were down 41-16 going into halftime and never had a chance to catch up, scoring only 8 points in the second half.

The Bearcat boys played a solid game, staying ahead of the Eagles after the game was tied 2-2 early in the first quarter. The Bearcats went into halftime with a seven-point lead at 39-32. Leading scorers for the Bearcats were Maddox Regier with 21 and Jagger Regier with 15. They sealed the game in the fourth quarter behind Jagger Regier’s 8 points, which included 6 free throws, and Maddox’s 6 points, as they won easily, 72-57. After the win, the Bearcats are 5-9 and the Nebraska Christian Eagles are 2-11.
