It was a great start to the season for the H&H Bearcat Girls’ Golf Team placing 5th as a team!
The H&H Bearcat varsity girls golf competed at the Doniphan-Trumbull Invite in Grand Island on Thursday. Senior Mia Hiebner came home with the gold, firing a 79 (38-41) for first place. Coming in 2nd place, six strokes back, was Kenzie Clausen from Grand Island Central Catholic. Hiebner improved her score significantly from last year, at this event, when she placed second with an 85.
The Bearcats placed 5th as a team with a score of 476. Tara Buzek scored a 115, Kinsley Friesen 137, Meggan Friesen 137 and Haley Beck 145.
Playing nine holes with the JV’s were Hallie Tessman and Brinley Mierau.
