It’s been several years since the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park hosted its special “Country Christmas” event, but it’s back this year! The entire park will be decorated with dozens of trees decked out by community volunteers, businesses, and organizations. It will take place on Saturday, November 25th, from 4 – 7 p.m.
Enjoy a stroll around the park, taking in the many festive sights and sounds. The decorated Christmas trees will be in all the buildings throughout the park for viewing. Santa Claus will be visiting the schoolhouse and handing out goodies to the kids. The Country Church will feature live Christmas music throughout the evening.
Country school will be in session from 6 – 7 p.m. with Professor Larry Roberts. All children are invited to participate in some old-fashioned Christmas school lessons at the 73East schoolhouse.
Hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies will be served in the Epp Barn loft during the event. Admission for the event is $10 for adults and free for kids 12 & under accompanied by an adult. The park is located 1 ½ miles south of the Henderson I-80 Exit #342 on spur 93A.
If any business, organization, or individual is interested in decorating a tree for this event, please contact Suzanne Ratzlaff at 402-723-4252.
