Heartland sophomore Mia Hiebner had a strong performance at the Class C Girls State Golf Meet at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte this week. She tied for 4th with a two-day total of 161 (84-77).

It wasn’t pretty for the Heartland Huskie football team this past Friday night. The Sandy Creek Cougars put on quite a show, beating the Huskies on their own home field a whopping 74-16.

The Huskies traveled to the Giltner triangular on Tuesday, October 2, and came away with one win. They beat Giltner 2-1 (25-27, 25-20) but were defeated by Doniphan-Trumbull 2-0 (11-25, 10-25).

Mia Hiebner had another great round despite hot and windy conditions, ensuring her ticket to compete at the Class C-1 State Golf Meet next week.

The Heartland Huskie football team came out with a win 26-20 against the Superior Wildcats on Friday afternoon in Superior.

The Heartland Huskie volleyball team competed at the annual Hastings St. Cecila tournament in Hastings this Tuesday and Thursday, playing in a round-robin format. Unfortunately, they were winless for all of their matches, playing against some pretty tough competition with winning records.

The Heartland Huskies went to Southern Hills in Hastings on Tuesday, where Mia Hiebner once again came home with a first-place medal.
