Heartland FBLA participants at UNK on Wednesday with their 3rd place trophy!
The Heartland Community Schools FBLA Chapter traveled to Kearney Wednesday to compete in the 7th Annual UNK Loper Business Invitational. Students competed by putting their knowledge to the test in three separate subjects from Business Communication, Economics, Intro to Business Concepts, Supply Chain Management, Intro to Financial Math, Personal Finance, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration, Intro to FBLA, and one student participated in a Job Interview.
In addition to testing, students had the opportunity to check out the UNK food scene in the Nebraskan Student Union as well as play bingo for an opportunity to learn more about what UNK has to offer. Students who completed the bingo card were eligible for a drawing to win a variety of prizes, and Heartland was lucky enough to have three winners!
While competing against students from all school classifications, Heartland earned third-place honors in a very competitive field. I am very proud of this group, which has continued to work hard this past year to better themselves, continue to compete at the highest levels, and represent Heartland Community Schools.
