Heartland Hosts Quad Track Meet

Heartland hosted a quad track meet with Centennial, Nebraska Lutheran, and Sutton on Monday, April 24th.

Some top finishes were from Caleb Ostrander, who won the pole vault, clearing 10.00. Samuel Friesen placed 2nd in the 100-meter Dash with a time of 12.11. The Huskie boys dominated the 200-meter dash placing 3rd (Brady Goertzen -25.38), 4th (Carter Siebert 26.66), and 5th (Tucker Bergen-27.71).

Langdon Arbuck placed 2nd in the high jump at 5-10, and Carter Siebert placed 4th at 5-08. Brady Goertzen placed 3rd in the long jump going 17-06.25.

For the girls, Hayden Mierau placed 3rd in both the 100-meter dash (13.73) and 200-meter dash (27.90). Isabel Johnson placed 2nd in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:10.92, and Grace Regier was 4th, running a 1:11.00.

The 400-meter relay team of Lilly Carr, KatrinaMarie Epp, Isabel Johnson, and Grace Regier placed 3rd with a time of 4:48.55. Allie Boehr placed 3rd in the shot put at 32-01.50. Pole vaulting 7.06 Emersyn Oswald placed 2nd, and Eloise Casper tied for 3rd at 7.00. Lilly Carr placed 4th in the 1600-meter run posting 6:22.06.

Central Nebraska Invite in Grand Island

Some of Heartland’s track & field athletes were invited to compete at the Central Nebraska Invite in Grand Island on Monday, April 24th. Here are some results:

Mariah Tessman placed 3rd in the pole vault going 10-00.00 ft. The winning vault was 10-6.00 from Aizilynn Krafta from Northwest GI.

The Huskie 4 x 400 Relay team – Luis Alvarez, Trev Peters, Zach Quiring, and Nick Thieszen – placed 6th at 3:41.94.
