Henderson Heritage & Tourism will host a dedication of the newly completed restoration of the East Side Cafe at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park. The dedication and hamburger fry will be Sunday, August 29, from 5:00-6:00 PM. at the Heritage Park. Alan Janzen will be grilling his famous burgers and root beer floats will be served for dessert.

A short dedication ceremony will be held at 6 PM. Visitors can learn how this building that started out as a country school horse barn landed on Henderson’s Main Street housing several businesses over the years.

A limited number of picnic tables will be available for seating so those attending should  bring their own chairs. Tents will be set up to offer shade as well. This is a fundraiser to help fund the restoration costs for the East Side Cafe and free will donations will be accepted.

The Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park is located at 720 Road B, just one mile south of the Henderson I-80 exit #342.
