The Huskie Boys inch out a 29-28 victory against the Osceola Bulldogs tonight. The low scoring game stayed close entirely with the biggest Huskie lead being five points at the end of half. The Huskies started out fired up with Tanner Steingard getting business done early underneath the boards. He ended the night with a team leading nine points and plenty of rebounds. Jesse Nissen also hit a couple of big shots in the first half and ended the game with six points.
As the seconds ticked away, the team had to turn up the defense due to their shots not finding the hoop. Spencer Friesen and Micheal Brune had key steals at half court to keep the game in hand.
With time whinding down, the ball seemed to change possession a few times before the clock hit zero as eventually the Huskies edged out the Bulldogs for the win. The team will turn around and play again tomorrow (February 11th) against the Milford Eagles at Milford.
