The Huskies traveled to Sandy Creek Friday night, but without the help of Senior Forward, Tanner Steingard, who sat out due to a concussion, the team dropped the game 65-32.
The team was hopeful with the return of Steingard against Hampton Saturday night and came out working hard with the early hot shooting of Jesse Nissen, leading the Huskies with 17 points on the night. The Huskies held strong through all four quarters against the preseason D2 #1 ranked Hampton. It was a very physical game with Hampton star, DJ Bamesberger, getting ejected late in the fourth quarter. The Huskies fought till the end, but could not get the win in a 38-50 loss.
The Huskies will return to action this Friday, December 17 at Thayer Central.
