Huskies prevail in an influential 61-45 victory over the High Plains Storm. The girls were offensively dominate in the first quarter. They later sealed the deal in the second half with their defensive pressure and ability to find scoring opportunities.
On the defensive side, the team utilized their press and got some big turnovers. They started to trap well after the half court line and saw positive results from that.
Offensively, Mikaelyn Dick had another big night, scoring 23 points. Ashton Kroeker and Jennifer Yoder also had big games and finished the night with 13 points a piece. Great contributions were also seen from Tori Bittinger and Sara Brune, who both added 6 points each.
The team looks strong going into a big weekend on the road against Centennial and Sutton.
