The third annual “Fun Facts & Stories of Henderson’s Past” luncheon is back again this year!

The Henderson Heritage Park’s “Fun Facts & Stories” luncheon has become a favorite annual event held at the park. You won’t want to miss out on new information and fun facts about the Henderson area.

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the Henderson Heritage Mennonite Park in the Agricultural building.

The luncheon features a variety of delicious salads for attendees.

Over the years, while researching Henderson’s history and working on other historical projects, volunteers have discovered some unique and often unknown facts about the town of Henderson and its residents. This unique event is a fun way to share some of the nuggets and stories they’ve been collecting.

Have you ever wondered who in our community has rubbed shoulders with famous people? You would be surprised.

All are welcome to attend this salad luncheon and presentations by volunteers in the Agricultural Building to learn more. Reservations are required before the event. The cost is $20 per person, which can be paid upon arrival on Saturday morning. Besides partaking in a delicious salad bar for lunch, you will be entertained with stories that will enlighten and maybe bring back some fond memories. What a perfect way to spend an early summer afternoon.

To sign up, please stop by or call Heritage Park at 402-723-5694. You can also call or text Suzanne at 402-694-8669. During the summer, Heritage Park is open from Tuesday through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.

The Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park is located 1 1/2 miles south of the Henderson exit #342.
