Creighton Friesen finished his final round of golf representing Heartland at the Class C State Golf Meet on Wednesday and Thursday. The meet was held at Jack Rabbit Run in Grand Island, where a strong group of qualifiers from Class C competed for two days. Creighton shot an 80 (39-41) on Wednesday and a 78 (38-40) on Thursday for a total 2-day score of 158. In the field of 101 golfers, Friesen tied for 35th place.

Winning the individual tournament was Nash Malone from Kearney Catholic at 139, and Kearney Catholic won the team championship.
