$1,000 Scholarship Awarded to The Marisol Project Foundation – Dance for Tomorrow – In Memory of Marisol Stamp

Special presentation to Marisol’s family:

Soaring for C! fundraising supports annual college scholarships to graduating seniors from York High School and at least one other local high school. These scholarships not only honor Cessna’s memory but also support the dreams and aspirations of young students, encouraging them to pursue their passions and make a positive impact on the world.

This scholarship is given to students who show consistent character in their decision-making and positive interactions with others. Their integrity, kindness, words, standing up for others, and daily actions are the reasons why they are receiving this award.

Marisol was set to graduate in May from Heartland Community School in Henderson. This scholarship, established in memory of Cessna, was meant to support Marisol’s next steps in her journey, and she was going to receive the Soaring For C! Character Scholarship Award. Marisol and Cessna shared a unique bond—partners in dance and snacks—and now, they continue their choreography and snacks together in Heaven.

In tribute to Marisol’s passion, spirit, and dreams, we are honored to still give Marisol her scholarship – $1,000 to Dance For Tomorrow – The Marisol Project. This gift will help preserve Marisol’s legacy and fuel the dreams of future dancers, keeping her memory alive and her love for dance, inspiring others for years to come.

The Marisol Project – Dance for Tomorrow

Dance For Tomorrow – The Marisol Project was created to honor the beautiful life and memory of Marisol Rose Stamp, a young woman who brought light and kindness to everyone she met. Tragically, Marisol left this world on July 31, 2024, at just 18 years old. Born into the foster system, she was adopted at the age of two by the Stamp family, becoming the youngest of four children. This year, she would have been a senior at Heartland Community School.

Marisol’s vibrant spirit was reflected in the many passions that filled her life. Her love for dance began when she was just three years old, growing as she trained in Henderson, York Dance Center, and finally at Tempo Performing Arts in Aurora. Dance opened doors for Marisol, taking her all the way to Los Angeles, where she worked with renowned instructors like Phil Wright, Pete and Star Thelisma, Marcus Noble, and Angel Gibbs. Alongside her love for dance, Marisol found joy in singing, a voice that lifted those around her, and in her adventures with her horses, her dogs, and four-wheeling, where her sense of freedom and joy truly shone.

After her heartbreaking passing, Marisol’s family chose to create Dance For Tomorrow – The Marisol Project Foundation. With this foundation, they aim to carry forward her love of dance by helping other young dreamers overcome financial barriers and pursue their passions. Through this mission, Marisol’s story continues to inspire others, spreading her kindness, creativity, and zest for life far and wide.
