On Monday, the Heartland track team minus the qualifiers at the Central Nebraska Championship Meet competed at the Centennial Quad. Here are a few highlights from the track meet.
Sophomore Nevada Gloystein won the 110 M Hurdles (18.84) and the 300 M Hurdles (44.34). He also went 12-00.00 in the pole vault for second place. The 4 x 400 meter relay team picked up first place with a time of 3:58.67 – Maddox Regier, Rigs Newton, Adrik Friesen, River Glinsmann. Waylon Tessman placed second in the 400 at 1.00.09, and Braden Janzen placed third in the 100-meter run at 13.41.
For the girls, Sophie Minary placed second in the discus, throwing 110.07, and third in the shot put at 29-07.00. In the 300-meter hurdles, Katelyn Farrall was third at 58.51, and right with her was Kate Haidle, getting fourth place a split second behind. The 4×400 relay team placed second with a time of 4:40.85, consisting of Hallie Tessman, Isabel Johnson, Ashlyn Rotter, and Ariane Sololuze. Hallie Tessman won the pole vault, going 9-00.00.
