The Huskie golf team had a great day at the Blue Hill Invitational Cyndi Pell Memorial Scramble on Tuesday, April 29th, at the Red Cloud Country Club. The Creighton Friesen/Zach Miller duo fired a 67, placing second in the A flight. They were two strokes behind the winners Carter Milton and Aiden Vavra from EMF.

The Heartland team placed second in a field of ten teams with a total score of 224. EMF won the invite, scoring 218.

In the B flight, Blake Goertzen and Austin Schmidt shot a 74, placing third overall. In the C flight, Weston Panko and Jake Mierau shot an 83. In the JV action, Hayden Powers and Andrew Onnen shot a 91.

The scramble format is played by two-person teams, where each player hits a tee shot. Then, the players decide which shot they want to play from, and each plays from that spot. They keep taking their best shot until they finish the hole and have one score for the team of two.
