Heartland Boys WIN BIG at Invite today, scoring an impressive 131 points to win the meet! The Girls placed 5th with 51 points.
The Heartland Track Invite landed a fantastic day for track and field events, with temperatures in the 60s and just a bit breezy. The ideal conditions produced more than a few PRs for Heartland athletes!
The Huskie boys had an awesome day, winning all three relays and finishing first in the 100 (Samuel Friesen), 200 (Thane Wetjen), and 800 (Enzo Okuyama) meter runs! Luis Alvarez had a photo finish in the 400 M run, just getting edged at the finish for second place. The top finishes for the girls were Tara Buzek, who won the 800 M run and finished second in the 1600 M race.
