The Henderson Fire Department held its annual Pancake Feed on Saturday, and a large crowd attended throughout the day.
The annual Henderson Fire Department Pancake Feed fed over 550 people and went through 80 pounds of pancake mix, according to Fire Chief Sheldon Epp. “We had an awesome turnout and truly appreciate the community support,” he said.
Fire Department volunteers fired up the grills and were busy flipping pancakes, frying eggs, and cooking sausage for those who attended. This is their one fundraising event for the year, and the money raised is either used to purchase smaller items that they don’t want to bother asking the board for or contribute towards larger projects with the board.
