Get out and participate in Heartland FFA’s Second Book Walk at Lakeview Park. Enjoy reading “The Cool Bean” by Jory John and Pete Oswald along the walk path! It will be at the park until April 7th
The Heartland FFA is hosting its second book walk this spring. The story of “The Cool Bean” is placed around the walking path at Henderson’s Lakeview Park. Laminated storyboards are posted along the path, with various activities accompanying the story on each board. According to Heartland FFA sponsor Stephanie Miller, the walk is a way to encourage families to get outside and read.
To view this encouraging event, start at the Lakeview Park pavilion and follow the walking path to view the storyboards. The book featured is “The Cool Bean,” which tells the story of a bean who learns what it really means to be cool or a good friend. This is a great read for young and old to remind them that being helpful, kind, and compassionate is what “cool” is about.
