This morning, a fire hydrant took a blow from a car turning from Oak Street south onto North Main.

Heartland Community School was back in session today after winter conditions shut it down most of the week, which meant more vehicles on the road. This morning, someone was turning south onto North Main Street at the corner and, instead of making the turn, ended up straddling a fire hydrant in Lynette Blocks’ front yard. Whoops! Take a look. The City of Henderson was on hand trying to determine how to handle the situation, as the fire hydrant was leaking.
