The Heartland Huskie basketball teams traveled to Friend to battle the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats on Thursday night. The girls had a strong performance, with three Huskies scoring in double figures, helping to win 53-47. The leading scorer for the Bobcats was Taylin Schluter, with 16 points. With this win, the girls improve to 6-10, and the Bobcats fall to 6-11. The girls will take on No. 8 Centennial Broncos in the SNC tournament on Monday night.

The Huskie boys had the lead going into halftime at 19-15, but poor shooting in the second half led to a 37-51 loss. Sam Quiring led the Huskies in scoring 13 points, and the 15-2 Bobcats leading scorer was Zach Vossler with 15. The Huskies are now 4-12 going into conference tournament play on Monday night against Milford.
