York County Press Release
YORK – It’s hard to believe tornado spotter training is around the corner, with snow on the ground and below-zero temperatures, but spring will soon be here.
Gary Petersen, York County emergency director, says Severe Weather Awareness Week is scheduled for March 24-28, with a tornado drill taking place as a routine weekly test at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26.
Spotter training, conducted by the National Weather Service out of Hastings, will be held Monday, March 10, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Bradshaw VFW.
The spotter training is free and open to the public.
