No one had been arrested as of Monday afternoon in the burglary over the weekend at Klute Steel near Bradshaw. Lt. Alex Hildebrand said the York County Sheriff’s Office is following numerous leads as the investigation continues.

The burglary was detected by an employee arriving for work at 5:24 a.m. Saturday, Hildebrand said. The employee saw a female inside the building wearing all-black clothing, including a black ski mask, and carrying a black duffel bag.

The suspect was last seen fleeing north of the business at 1313 Road G.

Founded in 1961, Klute Steel is a family-owned steel fabricator specializing in substations and transmission line projects for the electric utility industry.

The Sheriff’s Office urged residents living in the area to contact law enforcement if they suspect someone has recently been in or around their property and outbuildings.

The individual was not believed to be armed, and authorities have no reason to believe there is a threat to the public, the Sheriff’s Office said over the weekend.

The public is urged to call 402-362-4927 or 911 if they have information on the case.
