The Heartland Huskie girls and boys basketball teams traveled to neighboring Sutton for their annual matchup, but it was Sutton who dominated both games. The girls got stomped by the Filleys 24-65, and the boys lost 28-56.
The Huskie girls could only manage single digits each quarter of the game and could never catch the hot-shooting Fillies. Isabel Johnson hit the only three-pointer in the game for the Huskies while the Fillies had eight total.

After a slow offensive start, the boys came to life in the second quarter, firing some much-needed shots. Trenton Goertzen made the Huskies’ first and only 3-pointer of the game midway through the third quarter, and they held the Mustangs to single digits. The Huskies’ offense came to an ice-cold stop in the fourth quarter when they were held scoreless.
