My, how time flies! We found this post about Jeff Gloystein joining his father, Lynn, at GO Ag Services ten years ago. GO Ag is still going strong, selling Channel Seed products and growing under Jeff’s ownership. Heartlandbeat appreciates GO Ag as a sponsor for our monthly Higher Ground Column.
December 2014
There is exciting news this month as Jeff Gloystein has joined GO Ag with his father, Lynn Gloystein. Jeff has been working with corn since high school. He started out with the summer crews pollinating, and then he did crop scouting for Henderson Coop. Shortly after moving back to Henderson, Jeff joined Pioneer Seed Research, located north of York. He worked there for 7 years in the inbred development group. Jeff did a large variety of things there. This included managing summer pollinating crews, planting, disease inspection, and data collection.
Jeff is thankful to have this opportunity to come back and work with the local farmers. He loves the Henderson community and is passionate about agriculture. “I want to serve the farmers that make up this community,” says Jeff. Not to mention, the chance to work closely with his father, Lynn Gloystein, is also valued. Mr. Gloystein taught Ag at Heartland Community Schools for 35 years.
Jeff heads to St. Louis this week to continue training and expanding his knowledge of Channel (Monsanto) and their products. Next time you pass their building on the spur, stop in and grab a soda!
