I cannot believe that it is November already; where did 2024 go? I hope this newsletter finds you well. I wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of two important things. First, don’t forget to set your clock back an hour this weekend. Second, if you haven’t already taken advantage of Nebraska’s early voting process, head to your local polling station next Tuesday, November 5th. The polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. next Tuesday. If you are unsure of where you are supposed to go to vote, visit the Nebraska Voter Information website to find out:

It is vitally important that you also remember to bring your photo identification (ID) with you in order to vote. As was the case during the primary in May and all elections going forward, you have to present your valid photo ID in order to vote. A Nebraska drivers license will work, but if you do not have one, here is a site to see other acceptable forms of identification:

If you need to read up on what all is on the general election ballot, go to the Nebraska Secretary of State’s 2024 election website to look at sample ballots, read up more on each ballot initiative, and more:

Finally, to see the results, visit the following website after the polls close at 8 p.m. on November 5th:

https://electionresults.nebraska.gov/Login.aspx

As was the case in the last several elections, it is possible that we won’t know the results in the presidential election until after November 5th. The last polls don’t close until midnight our time (in Alaska). Voter turnout is also expected to be high, more than 155 million votes were cast during the last presidential election in 2020. That is a lot of votes to count. We’d all like to know who wins a seat in the Oval Office for the next four years, but like many elections in the past two decades, we might have to wait to find out.

Enjoy the extra hour on your weekend, and please exercise your right to vote!

As always, if I can be of assistance to you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact my office. My staff members—Matt and Katie—are available to assist you with your needs and pass along messages, so if you’d like a callback, please let them know!
