Karma Yantzie and Mark Hiebner new Heartland teachers.
Heartland Community School has two new hires for the 2024/25 school year. Karma Yantizie will be the new Business Education teacher and FBLA sponsor, and Mark Hiebner will take over the instrumental music program.
On Friday, they attended an all-day orientation session, during which they became more acquainted with the Heartland administrators, office staff, and maintenance staff. They also spent time going over Heartland staff resources, practices, and protocols, according to Tim Carr, Heartland High School Principal.
Other non-certified staff hires this year include Dandi Cabanting – Secondary Administrative Assistant, and Joyce Nunnenkamp – Paraprofessional.
