The Heartland Huskie VB team had their season opener at the Osceola Bulldogs triangular Thursday night. They lost in three sets to the Bulldogs 1-3 ( 20-25, 25-28, and 10-25). Their next match was against the Palmer Tigers, and they lost in two sets, 18-25 and 21-25.
Laura Splinter led the team in attacks in the Palmer match with 18, Riley Quiring with 17, and Jamisen Klein with 13. Isabel Johnson had 11 digs, Siddalee Kliewer 8, and KatrinaMarie Epp – 5. In the Osceola match, Riley Quiring led the team with 9 attacks, followed by Jamisen Klein with 8.
The Osceola Bulldogs went on to win their home triangular, beating Palmer in two sets, 25-19 and 25-20.
