June is here, and so is Henderson’s annual Farmers Market in the downtown City Park. There’s something for everyone this year, with a great line-up of vendors providing fresh produce, food, crafts, and ethnic specialties. Farmers Market will continue each Tuesday of the summer except for the 4th of July and will conclude on August 8th.
Every Tuesday from 5 – 7 PM, there’s no need to heat up the kitchen; instead, come out to the Farmers Market and purchase a meal to go or to stay. There is plenty of seating in the park shelter or find a shady spot at one of the picnic tables and enjoy meeting up with friends and family. Here’s the schedule for the organizations that will provide the meals each Tuesday in June. This is a great way to support so many groups in Henderson who use the meal as a fundraiser.
“We are excited for a fun farmers market with tons of great vendors and organizations to support. Watch out for the July 25 summer harvest fest full of fun, food, farmers market, and a flick,” said Kaelea Saulsberry Henderson Chamber Executive Director.
The Living Hope Church youth group provided the first tasty brisket meal this Tuesday, June 6, and will use the proceeds towards going to Ascent Youth Camp in Glorieta, NM, later this month. They sold out after serving over 200 meals!
