The 2021 Girls Golf Team is comprised of Christina Adamson, Kambel Newman, Elizabeth Mestl, and Ruby Kliewer. In their scramble on August 19 in Central City, they landed a second place finish. On Monday, Elizabeth Mestl also earned a second place medal.
The Heartland Volleyball Team officially starts their season on Thursday with a triangular at Palmer at 5:00 p.m. They will also spend Saturday in a tournament in Overton. Coach Christa Gergen remarked, “We have started this volleyball season with a positive mindset. Our goal for this season is to have an active gym at all times, and the girls have been putting in effort every day. We have a young team but have a lot of girls who are ready to take on the leadership role. I’m excited to see what this group of girls can do.”
The Heartland Football Team will travel to Giltner on Friday for their season opener at 7:00 p.m. Coach Ben Lindsay commented, “We have had great two weeks of practice. The boys have had a lot of great energy and focus. We have had a lot of great leadership from our upperclassmen. We are looking for some underclassmen to step up and fill important positions in all aspects of the game.”
