The Heartland Elementary Library will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for six weeks. These hours are for children wanting to check out a book. We will not have story time this summer.
Weekly prizes will be awarded for every 100 minutes read. Children reading 5 out of the 6 weeks will be rewarded with a grand prize.
All preschool and elementary students are welcome to come to participate in the program. Children who spend part of their summer reading or being read to are more likely to read well when they return to school in the fall.
The Summer Reading Program gives children the chance to read at their leisure and develop a wider appreciation of books.
