Heritage Day has been a mainstay at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park for many years but will be cancelled due to the risks associated with the COVID-19 Virus. It was scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, at the Heritage Park but will not be held this year.
The Heritage Park is open as usual for visitors weekly Tuesday – Saturday from 1 – 4 PM. The Heritage Park is one of 10 stops on the 2020 Nebraska Passport Root Route Tour and will remain open through the month of October. Those visiting for the Nebraska Passport Program may have their book stamped at the General Store.
Renovations are complete at the Immigrant Hous,e and it’s open for viewing now. The new East Side Cafe is nearly finished and will be open soon. Visitors entering the General Store are asked to please wear a mask.
Tours may always be arranged by appointment by calling 402-723-4252. The Heritage Park is located 1 1/2 miles south of I-80 Exit 342 at 720 Road B.
