A fun evening of great choral music was shared Monday at the Fall Vocal Concert by the 5th – 12th grade choir members under the direction of Mr. Lynn Hall. A great range of music from pop to Latin to Barbershop were part of the evening. If you were unable to attend the concert, you can watch it at Striv TV at https://striv.tv/channel/heartland/.
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) members went to the Care Center on Tuesday evening to play Bingo with the residents. This is an annual fall tradition for the FBLA.
Heartland’s One Act cast and crew had a busy weekend. On Friday, they performed their play, “The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon,” at school for the teachers and students. Early Saturday morning, they travelled to York for their first competition of the season where they received much positive feedback and helpful critique for improvement when they compete at the next level. Timberly Carr, Rachael Dente, Tobin Glinsmann, Ellyn Hall, Tyler Lewis, Liz Mestl, Emily Nunnenkamp, Taylynn Scheil, and Aidan Swartzendruber received acting awards for this competition.
They will compete again on November 19 at Wilber-Clatonia for Conference, and on December 4 at Cross County for the Districts.
A performance will be given for the public on Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 pm.
