tourA unique event this year will feature the annual Heritage Garden tour combined with a special storytelling tour at Farmers Valley Cemetery. On Sunday, June 26, a tour will be held at the historic Farmers Valley Cemetery from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A special appearance by “Buckskin Charley” will be part of this entertaining tour where visitors will learn all about the history and moving stories of Farmers Valley. The Henderson Heritage & Tourism annual Garden Tour will feature three lovely yards located in the same Henderson neighborhood this year. It will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. following the Farmers Valley tour. The three yards featured are: Marv & Pat Buller – 1250 12th St.; LeRoy V. & Marion Friesen – 1230 12th St; David & Lavina Quiring -1240 12th St.

All proceeds from this event will go towards the Farmers Valley Cemetery and Henderson Heritage & Tourism. Tickets may be purchased at Farmers Valley or at any of the gardens on the tour the day of the event. Directions to Farmers Valley: 2 miles west of Henderson, turn south on Road “Y”. After crossing the Blue River, turn west on Farmers’ Valley Road which will lead to the cemetery.
