Henderson Heritage is excited to announce that a book signing will take place during the annual Christmas Tour Saturday, November 29. Kathy Nelson, author of the book, “More than Football: George Flippin’s Stromsburg Yearsâ€, will be at the Heritage Park Visitor’s Center from 4:00-7:00 p.m. signing her newly released book.
This book is especially interesting since George Flippin and his father Charles both practiced medicine in Henderson. Her book is the result of over 10 years of research on George Flippin who was famous for playing football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Christmas Tour tickets will be sold as well during the book signing at the Heritage Park Visitor’s Center.
The 2014 Heritage Christmas Tour includes the following: Steve & Kerri Kliewer home, Faith Evangelical Bible Church, Alan & Kim Janzen lodge, and Lowell & Iris Peters home.
