With 25+ events taking place this weekend with Community Days, it is no surprise that it takes a whole crew of people to make this event happen. If you are one of the lucky people who is able to enjoy the weekend without having to sponsor or volunteer at any of the events, please take a few minutes to look around at all off the people working hard to make the weekend a success and tell them thank you for the work they are doing.  Without the countless volunteer hours and monetary donations, it would not be possible to have Community Days.
Thank you to the following groups and businesses volunteering their time: Friesen Gallery, Striv.tv and HeartlandBeat.com employees, Simpatico by Design, the Heritage and Tourism Committee, the Heartland FFA, the Henderson Health Care Junior Auxiliary, Henderson Health Care, Kim Siebert, Kaci Hiebner, several Heartland school classes and parents, the Car Club, the lifeguards and pool staff, the City of Henderson employees, Galaway Creek Golf Course and Henderson Chamber of Commerce members. These groups enlist the help of additional volunteers who are too numerous to name, but their time is equally appreciated.
In addition to the various volunteers there are also some free events that are made possible by our generous Community Days sponsors. The free events include the Green Flamingos Concert sponsored by Mainstay Communications and Get Your Game on Mobile Gaming Truck Friday evening in the Downtown Park as well as the Inflatables and Princess sightings throughout the day Saturday. In addition, the City of Henderson will be putting on the Fireworks Show Saturday evening.
