What a great week at Galaway! Our younger golfers continue frequenting the course and honing their skills in hopes of making the high school golf team in the future. They have braved the heat and the wind on some days.
We have also been a stop off for a number of golfers crossing Nebraska in need of some time out of the car. Several have walked or cruised nine or 18 holes before making their way back to the interstate. Almost all of these folks have commented on what a nice course we have.
Another couple with roots in the area golfed with us while here from Texas. Their comment was that our course is their preference compared to other area courses.
All of these comments are welcome and show the quality of the course that we maintain. Our volunteers continue to spend their free time watering, working on sprinklers, and weeding. They are trimming, chopping, and planting trees. Come see what our course has to offer. An afternoon’s entertainment is right in your backyard.
As always, there is much to do in the volunteer department. Inside jobs exist as well. Stop in to see what you can do to maintain and improve Galaway Creek.
