Here is just one of over two dozen Christmas trees decorated for the upcoming Country Christmas at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park.  This new Christmas event for the whole family will be happening at the Heritage Park instead of the annual Christmas Tour of Homes on Saturday, November 24, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

The entire park will be lit up for Christmas with many festive sights and sounds.  Over 24 Christmas trees have been decorated by community volunteers, businesses, and organizations and will be on display in all buildings at the park.

Relive a good old fashioned country school program at the District #73E Country School.  Children will be presenting programs complete with singing, recitations, and dialogues at 4:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Santa Claus will be visiting the schoolhouse handing out goodies to the kids.  Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and cookies will be served in the Epp Barn loft.

Admission for the event will be $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under accompanied by an adult.  This event is a fund-raiser for Henderson Heritage & Tourism.  For more information contact LaVonne Thiessen at 402-723-4559.
