Mark your calendars for the upcoming Faspa Sunday, January 8th at 4 PM. This event will kick-start Hendersonʼs 125th Celebration year with a special presentation by Dr. Lauren Friesen in the Heartland Community School theatre. Dr. Lauren Friesen will be presenting a PowerPoint overview of the history of the Mennonites, their Dutch origins, sojourn to Prussia and Russia and why they came to America. Immediately following, a traditional Faspa (zweiback, bologna, cheese, pickles, apple prieschka) will be served in the cafeteria. Free will donations will be accepted at the Faspa. This event is sponsored by Henderson Heritage & Tourism and more information will be provided in the next few weeks.
