Henderson was bursting with spirit on Thursday evening during the Annual Spirit of Christmas on Main Street and around Henderson as various businesses rolled out the red carpet for holiday shopping and open houses. With cars lining the streets and Christmas music in the air, the community came out to celebrate despite the cold, windy weather.
During the evening, Santa and Mrs. Clause were able to talk with 112 children and even some adults as they learned what each individual wanted for Christmas. All of the children received a Christmas goodie bag from Santa, provided by Cornerstone Bank
During the evening there were more than 30 local retailers selling products and 20+ businesses holding open houses with various drawing from Chamber Bucks to Kindles.
Even though the Spirit of Christmas is over, remember to support your local businesses this holiday season and buy as many gifts as you can locally. You can find everything from candles to jumper cables and jewelry to gift baskets from your local businesses. Don’t forget Chamber Bucks are always the perfect size for that hard to shop for person on your list, available at City Hall during regular office hours.
