The Huskies made a valiant attempt at winning their sub-district to get a chance at the district final and going to State, but fell short last night against Cedar Valley in the sub-district final. The Huskies gave all they had, but lost in five sets; 25-20, 19-25, 12-25, 25-22, 7-15.

Sara Brune led in kills with 21, while Miranda Janzen had seven, MaKaelyn Dick had six and Ashton Kroeker had five. Maelyn Huebert led in assists with 21 while Ashley Bittinger had 14.

The Huskies have nothing to hang their heads about, though. Having been ranked in D-1 all season, the Huskie’s final ranking was #4 going into last nights game. Their season record was 19-11.

The Huskies had a great season. The seniors had a wonderful year and the community is very proud of you: Sondra Buller, Miranda Janzen, Brielle van den Berg and Rachel King.
