The Hub, a new hometown hangout, hosted its Grand Opening Monday night. Â The doors opened at 5pm and it stayed busy till closing at 10pm.
The Hub is conveniently located in the HeartlandBeat.com office, which is the old Cornerstone Bank building.  It is a sit down, hangout location trying to promote the ‘coffeeshop’ feel.  With free Wi-Fi, coffee and other hot and cold drinks as well as snacks, The Hub hopes to be a place for people to go if they need to study, chat or just have some alone time on the internet.
The place was busy start to finish Monday night and guests enjoyed coffee and complimentary cookies along with a plethora of other items to choose from if desired.  The night also held raffle drawings from HeartlandBeat.com as well as Shannon’s Custom Embroidery, which is also housed in the building.  One winner of the night was Casey Goertzen, who received a HeartlandBeat.com t-shirt.  Winners of the Heartland Hoodie and other prizes will be posted on The Hub Facebook page or find out by stopping in.
If you missed the Opening, do not worry.  The Hub’s hours are Monday thru Thursday 4pm to 10pm, so if you need to get away, have some free time or just want to hang out with some friends, come on down.
