Kislyak Remains in Custody, New Charges Filed

York News Time online reported this morning that new charges had been filed against Pavel Kislyak.

The new charges are the following: Assault on a law enforcement officer, which is a Class 3A felony that carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, and resisting arrest, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor that carries a possible sentence of one year in jail.

The original bond was set at $10,000, 10 percent, and has been increased to $75,000, 10 percent.

Pavel Kislyak was arrested Thursday June 2nd in Henderson, NE.

Kislyak still faces the original charges of willful reckless driving, disturbing the peace and obstruction of government operations. Each is a Class 1 misdemeanor that carries a possible maximum sentence of one year in jail.

With these new charges, if convicted, he could be looking at a possible maximum of 24 years in prison.

Kislyak remains in custody at the York County Jail.

UPDATE: During Pavel Kislyak’s bond hearing Judge Curtis Evans ordered that he be escorted back to jail due to incoherent outburst during his hearing.
