The Heartland FFA Chapter recently held its annual banquet on Thursday, April 28, to honor members for their achievements throughout the year and to thank supporters. The evening began with opening ceremonies and a welcome to guests. Mr. Rick Boardman then gave a reflection of his daughter, Andrea Boardman’s, year as chapter president. After the meal break, a slideshow of this year’s activities was shown. Mr. Blomendahl, chapter advisor, then presented chapter degrees and awards from this year’s contests and chapter activities.
The chapter also honored businesses and individuals for supporting them throughout the year. They were: Henderson State Bank, Cornerstone Bank, Henderson Co-op, Hiebner’s Welding, Hiebner Body Shop, Kurt Goertzen-Syngenta and NK Brand Seeds, Aurora COOP, Henderson Metal Products, Custom Wood Products, A&L Sales & Service, Kroeker Grain and Lumber, Progressive Ag Partners LLC, Circle 5 Cattle Co., Rick and Mary Boardman, Alan Janzen, Bryan and Connie Bechtel.
