Meet Our New Pastors Miriam Book and James Lapp.
Miriam F. Book grew up on a dairy farm near Lancaster, PA and has been active in various forms of church leadership since 1974. She studied at AMBS and London Bible College, England, served 11 years as Associate General Secretary for the former Mennonite Church, and 11 years as pastor at Salford Mennonite. She enjoys administrative work, serving on governance boards, and pastoral care.  She is known to most people as Mim.
James M. Lapp, Harleysville, PA graduated from EMU and AMBS, and has been a pastor and church executive since 1961.  He enjoys preaching, writing, and encouraging congregations and leaders.  His hobbies are walking, cooking, and reading.  He and Mim have been married ten years, and are parents to three adult children and seven grandchildren living in three states.  He prefers to be called Jim.
