The 2011 Henderson Home Show had a good turn out on Saturday, February 26 at Heartland Community Schools. This year there were 39 vendors from the communities of Henderson, Hastings, Grand Island, Lincoln, York, and Hampton. These vendors included: Cornerstone Bank, Hiebner Body Shop, Henderson COOP, Lemonds Siding and windows, Perennial Public Power District, Northern Lawn and Underground, Lacey’s Travel, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Balabans, Ratzlaff Farms, Presto X, York Heating and Air Conditioning, Baers Furniture, HeartlandBeat.com, Paradigm Shift Interactive, Friesen Landscaping, Verizon Wireless, Heartland Smorgasbord, Chaga International, Aurora Quilt Guild, Culligan Water, Shannon’s Custom Embroidery, Techmeyer Financial, Heartland FFA, Henderson Health Care Services, Henderson Heritage and Tourism, JACT-UP Inc., Miller Seed and Supply, Premier Designs Jewelry, Scentsy, Galaway Creek Golf Course, Mainstay Communications, Henderson State Bank, Heartland Community School, Henderson Community Foundation Dutch Kitche/Adam Block, HHCS Auxiliary, Jr. Auxiliary and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.
During the day these vendors gave away more than 65 door prizes from toys to $50 gift certificates, which were awarded to those in attendance.
The Edgerton Explorit Center also provided activities for all ages through hands on activities and demonstrations. Participants witnessed explosions, were shocked, electrified, and participated in puzzling scientific experiments during the three demonstrations including: Sparks, Arctic Blast and PSI. IGNITE Dance and Cheer also had six performances showcasing a variety of dance levels. Be sure to mark your calendars for next years Home Show on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
