Although it may not have been as pretty as Huskie Girls’ Head Coach, Greg Veerhusen may have liked, the team got the ‘W’ in a 49-42 victory over the Cross County Cougars.
The Huskies played hard and worked well together after returning from a ten day break since the Holiday Tournament. Aggressive full court pressure aided the win as well as the team knocking down some big shots.
Scoring was led by Mikaelyn Dick who finished the game with 19 points. Senior, Tori Bittinger and Junior, Jennifer Yoder did their fair share adding 11 points each.
The Huskies will not get much down time as they prepare for Superior at Superior on Tuesday night.
