It was a big win for the Huskies tonight as they came out on top, 63-57 against the High Plains Storm. The team started out strong and just did not want to let up. Cody Brown proved his need to win early by diving for balls, working for rebounds and stepping up the intensity. Brent Regier also had a big night tonight under the boards and adding 11 points.
The game stayed tight throughout, but it was Spencer Friesen who got the hot hand in the second half and finished the night with 23 points and put the team on top. The Huskies also helped solidify the win by staying strong defensively as the clock dwindled down.
This win was a good morale booster for the team as they head into the big weekend games against Centennial and Sutton, both on the road.
