Both boys and girls teams took tough losses against the Centennial Broncos.  The girls game was down to the last second and ended in a 26-28 loss while the boys also took a 33-49 defeat.

The girls game was close throughout. Jennifer Yoder did what she could with aggressive defense and a team leading eight points. Ashton Kroeker added seven points along with good defensive play. It was a down-to-the-wire game.  At one point, the Huskies were down by three and Mikaelyn Dick hit a shot that very well could have been worth three, but was counted for two points to bring the team within just a point. The Huskies had the ball with 30 seconds left and again at six seconds left, but could not convert any points and fell short when the buzzer sounded.

The boys started out doing some good things, but had a rough third quarter scoring and could not close the gap after that.  Spencer Friesen led the team with eight points while Lincoln Ruybalid, Jesse Nissen and Tanner Steingard all added six points a piece. It was a physical game and was a tough one to walk away from without a win.

The teams will get back at it tomorrow night (Saturday) against the Sutton Mustangs/Fillies at Sutton.
