YORK COUNTY – Repair work on the Road W overpass is expected to begin today, April 21, according to officials with the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Weather permitting, the work will entail bridge repair. While this is a county road, the overpass is the responsibility of the state.
JMN Construction LLC of Valley is the contractor for the project.
This project was damaged last year when the structure was hit by a vehicle in an accident.
Traffic will be maintained on Interstate 80 with lane closures. It is expected that the project will be completed in May.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put their cell phones down, according to NDOT officials.
