The Heartland track team traveled to Friend for the Exeter-Milligan-Friend Track Invite on Tuesday. The boys won the 4×100 and 4×400 meter relays and finished second in the 4×800 meter relay. Enzo Okuyama won the 800-meter run, and Luis Alvarez placed first in the 400-meter run. The boys scored 97 points, just five points behind East Butler for second place overall.
The girls scored 52 points, placing 6th as a team. Tara Buzek had a solid day, placing second in the 400, 800, and 1600-meter runs. The girls came home with the gold winning the 4 x 400 relay.
